The term sexual addiction is a misnomer. In reality, there is no such thing as “sexual addiction”.

People who have sexual dysfunction, depression, and sexual or physical pain are most often addicted to these issues. If you feel that you are addicted to something, you are. If you’ve found a way to fight it, you are.
The term sexual addiction, in my opinion, is a misnomer. You can choose to have sex with anyone you want. It doesn’t require any addiction.
Sexual intimacy and affection are a gift, and we should treat it as such. When you don’t give your partner the attention, love, and affection that they deserve, they will likely give you a reason to become sexually obsessed with them.
